Jamaat Ameer attends Firozshah Madrasa Mahfil under Akbar Shah Police Station in Chattogram

In the upcoming election, truth and falsehood will be decided

-Dr. Shafiqur Rahman

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said: “Our Qur’an is one, Allah the Almighty is One, the Prophet is one, and our path is one. The place where we will ultimately go is also the same. Therefore, there will be no differences between us, In sha Allah. Bangladesh is our homeland — a special gift from Allah. I have traveled to many countries, and I feel that there are very few lands in the world as blessed as ours.”

He said these words today, 22 November (Saturday), while addressing as the chief guest at the mahfil held at Firozshah Madrasa, run under the supervision of Maulana Tajul Islam, Ameer of Chattogram City Hefazat-e-Islam. The chief mufassir at the event was Maulana Maimunul Haq.

Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, “Our country is full of resources — on land, in water, and even underground. The only resource it lacked was the moral character of those who governed the country in the past. When they had the opportunity to govern, they did not become servants of the people; instead, they became their masters.”

He further said, “Bangladesh stands at a crucial turning point in history. In the upcoming election, truth and falsehood will be distinguished, In sha Allah. All of us must stand on the side of truth. We cannot fear anyone’s threat or intimidation. We must fear only Allah, the Almighty and no one else.”

The Jamaat Ameer further added, “This vote is not just about voting rights — each vote is a veto power. There can be no mistake here. If we make a mistake, we will have to answer before Allah. Cast your vote according to conscience, stand on the path of truth, and take a stand against corruption. Stand with those who unite for the sake of Allah. We will remain united, In sha Allah. We will make no compromise with anyone in establishing the rule of Allah or building a corruption-free Bangladesh. We will not stop until we build our beloved homeland.”

Clarifying that they do not seek victory for their own party, Shafiqur Rahman said,
“Be careful that no evil force creates division among us. By Allah, we do not want any political party to win for the party’s sake. We want the victory of Allah’s Deen, the victory of the people. Our oppressed people must no longer remain victims of injustice — this is our prayer to Allah.”

Earlier, at 3 PM, he landed by helicopter at the parade ground of Chattogram College. Leaders welcomed him with flowers. At that time, Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman spoke to journalists. Present on the occasion were Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary General Maulana Muhammad Shahjahan, Jamaat leader and former MP Shahjahan Chowdhury; Chattogram City Ameer Nazrul Islam; North District Ameer Alauddin Sikdar; City Secretary Principal Muhammad Nurul Amin; South District Ameer Anwarul Alam Chowdhury; North District Secretary Abdul Jabbar; South District Secretary Maulana Badrul Haq; City Assistant Secretary Principal Maulana Khairul Bashar; Mohammad Ullah; Faisal Muhammad Yunus; City Organizational Secretary and Chattogram-10 candidate Shamsuzzaman Helali; Chattogram-9 candidate Dr. A.K.M.
