Jamaat delegation meets Turkish ambassador

Hands over a letter of felicitation to Recep Tayyip Erdogan for securing victory in Turkey’s Presidential election

A 3 member delegation of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami met the Turkish ambassador to Bangladesh Mr. Huseyin Muftuoglu in the Turkish embassy in Dhaka on 13th August, Thursday. Jamaat’s central working committee member Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, Assistant Secretary of the central publicity department Matiur Rahman Akanda and Barrister Nazibur Rahman Momen were present in the occasion on behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami. During the meet, the Jamaat leaders handed over a letter to the Turkish ambassador. The letter is written by party’s Acting Ameer Maqbul Ahmad to the incumbent Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his landmark victory in the first direct presidential election of Turkey.

In the letter, Maqbul Ahmad hails and congratulates Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his landslide victory in the Presidential election to become 12th President of the historic nation. Acting Ameer expects that, after becoming the president, Mr. Erdogan would be able to serve his countrymen in broader scale.

Maqbul Ahmad expects that the president elect Mr. Erdogan would play pivotal role to bolster the relation between Bangladesh and Turkey and to strengthen cooperation between these two nations. He further hopes that Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan would act significantly to resolve the crisis of the Muslim Ummah particularly to stop the ongoing brutal killing and massacre of the Israeli forces in Palestine.

Erdogan’s dynamic leadership would lead Turkey towards more progress and prosperity with such an expectation, Jamaat’s Acting Ameer ends the letter by praying to Almighty Allah for healthy, long life and success of Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
