Assistant Secretary General and Central Executive Council Member of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, who is visiting Japan now, paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh's Ambassador to Japan Mr. Muhammad Daud Ali at the Bangladesh Embassy in Tokyo.
A courtesy call and exchange of views took place between Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan and other leaders of Islamic Mission of Japan, led by the Central President of the Islamic Mission, Mr. Hafez Saber Ahmed, was held at the Bangladesh Embassy in Tokyo today (May 7, Wednesday) at 11:00 AM.
Various issues related to the interests of the Bangladeshi expatriates in Japan, including improving the quality of services to the people, encouraging the expatriates to send remittances, and sending more students, workers and skilled manpower to Japan were presented with great importance in the meeting. Other matters related to the interests of the expatriates that were brought to the attention of the Honorable Ambassador are as follows:
1) Seeking the maximum cooperation from the Embassy in sending the dead bodies back to the country.
2) Providing NID cards to the expatriates and making arrangements for exercising voting rights.
3) Making the visa process for Bangladeshis faster and easier.
4) Taking effective initiatives to bring skilled manpower from Bangladesh.
5) Taking steps to provide national identity cards to the expatriates living in Japan.
6) To initiate a plan to establish a school in Japan by combining Bangladeshi and Japanese curricula and assuring cooperation in this regard.
Above all, satisfaction was expressed with the activities of the current Ambassador and the Embassy office as a whole. This courtesy call and exchange of views was held in a very cordial and friendly atmosphere.
Among others, community leaders ATM Misbahul Kabir, Abdul Malek, Hafez Alauddin, Tokyo City President of the Mission Niamat Ullah, Vice President Sarwar Alam Joha, Secretary and Assistant Professor of Waseda University Dr. Mehedi Hasan Mahfuz, Hafez Rakib Ahmed, Fazlul Haque Pavel and business leader Mr. Sanaul Haque were present during the meet. Counselor and Head of Embassy Mohammad Bashir and First Secretary (Labor) Joynal Abedin took part in the program on behalf of the embassy.
