Being invited by honorable Switzerland’s Ambassador to Bangladesh Mr. Reto Siegfried Renggli, a delegation of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami led by party’s Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher paid a visit to his residence and held a courtesy meeting.
The meeting was held in a cordial and friendly atmosphere. In the meeting, they frankly discussed the common interests of Bangladesh and Switzerland. During the meeting, the issue of making Bangladesh's democracy meaningful has been discussed with high importance.
In the meeting, Jamaat-e-Islami’s Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar, Assistant Secretary General and former MP Mr. Hamidur Rahman Azad, Assistant Secretary General Advocate Ehsanul Mahboob Zubair, Central Executive Council Member and party’s central Publicity and Media Secretary Mr. Matiur Rahman Akanda took part in the program on behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami whereas Deputy Head of Swiss Mission, Corinne Henchoz Pignani were present on behalf of the Swiss Embassy.
