On the title of the seminar, the keynote was presented by Rajshahi University’s Islamic Studies Department’s Professor Dr. Md. Belal Hossain.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, certainly human beings should be enriched with divine knowledge. People cannot solve all public crises. If there is no coordination between the general and the divine knowledge, the proper welfare of humanity is not possible. The curriculum in Bangladesh is made in a way to complicates the process of acquiring divine knowledge. Intentional efforts have been made to keep people away from Quranic knowledge. But the opportunistic academic system has failed to make people educated. Education without religious touch paved the way for increasing anti-social and immoral deeds.

He further said that divine knowledge contains all basic principles for the betterment of humanity. Our Prophet (pbuH) also taught the same issue to his followers. He taught them the knowledge of worldly affairs and the affairs of the hereafter. His pure knowledge will take the people of this world towards heaven. He made people competent about all issues including society, nation, states, economics, foreign policies, military strategies, and international issues.

He recalled several verses of the Holy Quran and reminded the teachers about their responsibilities. Addressing the teachers, he said, there should be a similarity between your tasks and talks. You will acquire divine knowledge and enlighten the nation with the same light. Then the nation will be benefited from your services. To change this nation, you should carry out the responsibilities for promoting Islamic education. You have to present yourself as a good model before the nation. If we can do that, it will not be difficult for us to establish Islam in this land. He urged all people, related to the education sector to work hard for establishing Islam as a victorious ideology in order to ensure people’s freedom, welfare, and basic peace and happiness.
