Chittagong South district organized a women’s members’ conference

The incumbent undemocratic government has seized Jamaat’s political rights away, alleges Acting Ameer

Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman said the incumbent government has hijacked the political rights of Jamaat-e-Islami. Subduing the judicial system, the tyrannical government has been re-arresting the detained leaders repeatedly from the jail gate. They are being imprisoned for many years in connection with some false and invisible cases. The political parties are not allowed to continue systematic movements. When someone tries to seek permission, the authority arrests them. While if any party finally organizes the program without due permission, they are being harassed for not complying with the law.

He further said many people within the government have termed themselves unelected. Whereas, the freedom fighters fought to ensure voting rights, freedom of speech, and rights to hold processions and rallies. The fascist government has deprived the nation of all basic rights. People’s rights are to be restored by holding a free, fair, and credible election under a caretaker government. Otherwise, the government will be forced to be dethroned shortly. In the upcoming movement, women members have to cast votes courageously and play active roles simultaneously.

Jamaat’s Acting Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman said this while addressing the women members’ conference presided over by district Ameer Anwarul Alam Chowdhury.

Among others, central executive committee member Vice Principal Abdur Rab, district’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Professor Nurullah, district secretary Principal MB Haq and other city and district-level leaders addressed the conference.
