Dhaka south city Jamaat organized a workshop for the zonal leaders

The nation has become ineffective and failed due to ill deeds of the government, says Acting Ameer

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman said, there is no democracy. People have no right to speak out. Even public lives and properties are not safe. The government has made this nation ineffective and unfunctional due to its failures. Islam is the only complete code of life. Only Islam guarantees civic rights. So, we have to establish a just society based on the Islamic ideology.

Addressing the leaders, Acting Ameer stated that, ‘You have to be a model to others. You should build yourselves as a true Muslim. You should try to acquire knowledge by reading Seerah in order to continue the movement like the companions and first generations of Muslims. You should serve the people out of season. Besides, you should be focused on guiding people towards goodness and prohibiting them from bad issues.

Acting Ameer said this while addressing a workshop organized by Dhaka south city Jamaat today. Jamaat’s central executive committee member and Dhaka south city Ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul presided over the program which was hosted by city secretary and Jamaat’s central working committee member Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud. Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher and Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim addressed the workshop as the special guests. Among others, central Majlish-e-Shura member and Dhaka south city Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Abdus Sabur Fakir and Advocate Dr. Helal Uddin, central Majlish-e-Shura member and Dhaka south city Jamaat’s Assistant secretary Mohammad Delwar Hossain, Kamal Hossain, Dr. Abdul Mannan, and other zonal leaders were present on the occasion.

Professor Mujib said, by executing our top leaders, the vested quarter thought that Jamaat would have perished. But practically, Jamaat has become stronger because of their sacrifices and moving forward confidently. Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman also became imprisoned since he declared 10-point demands for intensifying the movement. We are demanding his immediate release. Obstructing political programs, and arresting the opposition leaders and activists is tantamount to violating human rights. Jamaat was always vocal against repression and torture. So, Jamaat can never be subdued through persecution and intimidation. People’s just movement can never be foiled as well. He urged everybody to take part in the upcoming systematic and peaceful movement to oust the government.

Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher said we are working to secure the victory of Islam. All Prophets and messengers had made the same efforts. The responsibilities are to be conducted in an organized way. We have to prepare an outline for the movement after assessing the political situation. The logical issues to be included in the agenda of the movement for the sake of the country’s independence and sovereignty.

Maulana Abdul Halim said the zonal leaders have to play bold roles to facilitate the efforts of establishing deen in this country. Jamaat’s manpowers have to acquire knowledge to tackle the emerging challenges. We should also concentrate to upgrade our religiosity and sincerity.

Nurul Islam Bulbul said we should convey the message of Islam to the different classes of people through Dawah activities and the Talimul Quran. The leaders should be more active in implementing plans and strategies. We should produce skilled people in all sectors. Social leadership to be established. Right now, our birthland is facing a severe crisis. The country’s economy is on the verge of destruction. Citizens’ lives become unbearable due to price hikes of the essentials. Under such circumstances, our leaders should be at the forefront of leading the movement.
