People want the caretaker government to secure their voting rights. Even they are ready to sacrifice anything in this regard. This government has kept the people in a squeezed situation and they no longer have any moral right to stay in office. The ruling party candidates contested against each other in the recently held Gazipur city corporation election.
However, they could not ensure a fair election. The oppressor regime has conducted massive looting, corruption, misrule, and money laundering, destroying the whole country.
Acting Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Maulana ATM Masum said this while addressing a workshop of the Upazila Majlish-e-Shura members as the chief guest. Narshingdi district Jamaat-e-Islami organized the program.
He further said, Jamaat leaders have to be aware of the present situation to lead the movement in the upcoming days. Jamaat has to reflect the hopes and expectations of the people. They should play a pivotal role to establish a just society based on public views. Morality is to be ensured at levels of the organization. Jamaat should not be entrapped.
Despite the torture and persecution of the government, Jamaat should take effective measures to bolster the organization at the grassroots level.
Narshingdi district Ameer Maulana Mosleh Uddin presided over the workshop. Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General Hamidur Rahman Azad and Maulana Abdul Halim on the occasion as the special guests.
Hamidur Rahman Azad said it is the demand of the moment to form a modern, timely, and pro-people organization. We have to make a smart organization accordingly. We should set an example through sacrifice and dedication. We should prepare our manpower to tackle challenges. We should intensify our activities to make pious people with a sense of piety and righteousness.
Maulana Abdul Halim said we should spread Dawah at all levels. Dawah should be made an inseparable part of life. Dawah activities should be carried out as per the requirement of the time. Dawah should be effective through noble words, wisdom, good presentation, and good manners. The people of Bangladesh are attached to Islam. They obey and own Islam. So, we should instill the spirit of establishing Deen within the people.
