Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman virtually addressed the workers’ conference organized by Rangpur district Jamaat-e-Islami today. During his speech, Professor Mujib said, we should keep it in mind that we came from Allah and we will return to Him. So, until death, we have to play the role of a servant of Allah in order to get Jannah as a reward. Our workers have to be by the side of their parents, relatives, and neighbors during the season and out of the season. The manpower has to spend one-third of their wealth tofacilitatesocialworks for the impoverished sections of society including the orphans, the destitute, and widows. Each unit of the organization has to take effective steps in this regard.
Acting Ameer further said, those who really have the desire of martyrdom, should not be fearful of imprisonment. He urged the workers to do three particular things such as promoting Salam in all aspects, feeding the poor and helpless people, and offering prayers during midnight through voluntary ibadah.
He stated that the concept of caretaker government is the brainchild of Jamaat-e-Islami and it has become a demand of the general masses. So, no election will be allowed without a caretaker government and the countrymen will not accept national elections under a political government. We will continue our movement and struggle until these demands are met.
Acting Ameer said the government has kept Jamaat Ameer and other top leaders behind the bar unreasonably. While the leaders are attempting to come out of the jail after securing bail from the High Court, at that time they are being re-arrested from the jailgate. Jamaat leaders are being harassed repeatedly in connection with some false and concocted cases. I am demanding the immediate release of all the detained leaders and activists.
He also said that America’s new visa policy is insulting to the nation and but this situation has been created due to the ill politics of the government. So the government has no moral right to hold office anymore.
Addressing the program as the special guest, Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim said, Jamaat workers should practice more in performing Salah in the mosque and fasting. As genuine preachers of Islam, we should testify the truth, and remain bold on the true path. We should ask people to do something better and prohibit them from committing bad things. This year is the year of movement, struggle, and election. So we have to work in the field as per our capacities.
While speaking the program, Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir’s central president Razibur Rahman Polash said, by the grace of Allah, we are well-organized. We have to spread the message of Islam at all levels to turn this organization into a pro-people organization. We should expand our dawah activities among our families, relatives, and neighbors.
