Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim said grassroots leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami have to work in a planned way to establish a welfare state. Personal moral standards to be developed. The unit presidents have to play a pivotal role to expand Dawah and organizational activities. Besides, a unified role is to be played in the movement for restoring the caretaker government system.
He said this while virtually addressing a unit presidents’ conference arranged by Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajganj district on Friday. Central Majlish-e-Shura member and Sirajganj district’s Acting Ameer Maulana Abdus Salam presided over the program which was hosted by district secretary Professor Maulana Zahidul Islam. Around two thousand unit presidents and secretaries took part in this conference. Jamaat’s central executive committee member Principal Md. Shahabuddin addressed the program as a special guest.
Among others, Jamaat’s central Majlish-e-Shura member and Bogra region’s team member Professor Nazrul Islam, and district’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Principal Ali Alam spoke on the occasion.
Abdul Halim said urged the unit presidents and secretaries to follow the footsteps of the prophets and to work with the spirit of accountability. He also motivated them to enrich themselves with ethical values. He also demanded the immediate release of Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Nayeb-e-Ameer Maulana ANM Shamsul Islam, Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Porwar, Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, Chittagong City’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Shahjahan Chowdhury, Sirajganj district Ameer Maulana Shahinur Alam and all other detained leaders and activists.
Principal Shahabuddin put emphasis on strengthening grassroots organizations to bolster the Islamic movement. He called upon the presence to work with the spirit of dedication and sacrifice.
Acting district Ameer in his address, thanked all the participants for making the conference successful. He also demanded the release of detained local and central leaders.
