A day-long workshop was held with the Rangpur region’s district and city-level working committee members on 25th March 2023. Rangpur-Dinajpur region’s coordinator and Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim presided over the workshop which was managed by party’s central working committee member and region’s assistant coordinator Maulana Momtaz Uddin. The program was jointly hosted by central working committee member Professor Mahbubur Rahman Belal and central Majlish-e-Shura member Professor Azizur Rahman Sarkar.

Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher addressed the workshop as the chief guest. Acting Secretary General Maulana ATM Masum and Assistant Secretary General and former MP AHM Hamidur Rahman Azad spoke on the occasion as the special guests.

Dr. Taher said the incumbent fascist government has kept hundreds of thousands of opposition leaders and activists imprisoned for years. Jamaat Ameer and other leaders and activists should be released unconditionally. Everybody should make a united effort to oust this government. Jamaat will play a significant role in this process. Jamaat will not take part in the election without a caretaker government. It is our demand to the government to arrange elections under a neutral government.

Addressing the leaders, he said we have to uphold pro-people attitude. We should be more careful while discharging duties. We have to expand our activities and allocate more time for the cause of Allah. Our works should be more befitting and well-planned. We should make a target and then have to work sincerely to meet thattarget. Our lifestyle should be changed. As a believer, our today should be better than yesterday.

Maulana ATM Masum said, the Prophet (peace be upon Him) did not do any task alone rather he did it as a teamwork. Our purpose is to establish a welfare state. The holy Quran us directs us to strike in the cause of Allah in exchange of our wealth and lives. We have to follow the directions. We have to activate the organizations from the grassroots. Each and every sector should be capable. A balance should be ensured in between our lives and activities.

Hamidur Rahman Azad said, we should prepare the field with the contribution of skilled preachers of Islam. People’s misunderstanding about Islam should be eliminated. The preacher of Islam should be smart, talented and acceptable. He must present Islam as per the requirement of the time. The holy Quran should not be kept confined within recitation and speeches only. It must be implemented. We have to preach Islam with the spirit of morality and ethics.
