Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s central executive committee member and party’s central publicity affairs secretary Advocate Matiur Rahman Akanda said, Jamaat-e-Islami is a pro-people party and it is struggling and striving on the path, demonstrated and guided by the holy Prophet (peace be upon Him). This party will not be vanished simply due to the vengeance of any quarter. Jamaat-e-Islami has a significant contribution to the history of Bangladesh. The honesty and efficiency of Jamaat’s ministers, commitment to the ideology, and workers’ unparalleled sacrifice and devotion are inseparable parts of this country.
Following the independence of Bangladesh, people sent Jamaat-nominated candidates to all the parliaments. Jamaat has a firm root in the hearts of the people. So, those who are not that prominent, who do not have any precedence to get elected such persons can not make any valid plea to foil the political rights of Jamaat-e-Islami. Jamaat will tackle all unlawful initiatives by following systematic and legal steps. The il-efforts of the vested quarters will be failed ultimately.
He said this while addressing a special members’ conference arranged by Jamalpur district Jamaat-e-Islami. District Ameer Kabir Ahmed Humayun presided over the conference which was hosted by district secretary Advocate Abdul Awal. Jamaat’s central organizing secretary and Mymensingh region’s coordinator Dr. Samiul Haq Faruqee and Jamaat’s central working committee member and Mymensingh region’s team member Monjurul Islam Bhuiyan addressed the conference as the special guests. Among others, Jamaat’s central Majlish-e-Shura member and Mymensingh region’s team member and Jamalpur district’s former Ameer Advocate Nazmul Haq Sayedee and district’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Maulana Khalilur Rahman Mandal also spoke on the occasion.
Matiur Rahman Akanda in his speech pointed out the reasoning and validity of restoring the caretaker government system in order to hold a free, fair, and credible election. He called upon everyone to intensify the ongoing movement. Besides, he urged everyone to take part in Jamaat’s ongoing efforts for establishing a just and welfare society.
