Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s central executive committee member and party’s central publicity affairs secretary Advocate Matiur Rahman Akanda demanded the resignation of the incumbent govenrment for saving the nation, to preserve independence and sovereignty of the country, to expedite financial success and finally to restore the voting rights of the people. He said this while addressing the leadership conference organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Jamalpur district as the chief guest.
He further said, we have to lead the struggle for establishing constitutional and fundamental rights, to restore voting rights and democratic traditions, and simultaneously for secuting human rights, good governance and justice. I am urging the district and Upazila district level leaders to form a strong and united organization based on the Islamic Dawah activities.
Outgoing Nayeb-e-Ameer of Jamalpur district Advocate Mirza Abdul Mazed hosted the program. Among others, outgoing district Ameer Advocate Nazmul Haq Sayedee, newly elected district Ameer Kabir Ahmed Humayun, former district Ameer Maulana Abdus Sattar also spoke on the occasion. Student and grassroots level leaders participated in this conference.
