The people of Bangladesh are becoming victimized by misrule and oppression for the last decade. The nation is to be free from the ongoing tyrannical rule to facilitate development, advancement and also to bring back people’s confidence and trust. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said this while addressing a virtual workers’ conference arranged by Narail district Jamaat-e-Islami this morning.
Narail district Ameer and party’s central Majlish-e-Shura member Ataur Rahman Bachchu presided over the meeting which was hosted by district Secretary Maulana Obaidullah Kaisar. Jamaat’s central executive committee member and Jessore-Kushtia region’s coordinator Mobarak Hossain and former district Ameer and regional team member Maulana Mirza Asheq Elahi addressed the program as the special guests. Among others, district’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Ali Ahmad, district’s Assistant Secretary Abul Bashar, Badsha Mia, Professor Abdus Samad, district’s working committee member Aiyub Hossain Khan, Maulana Alamgir Hossain, Akidul Islam, Hafez Maulana Abdullah Al Amin spoke on the occasion.
Jamaat Ameer said, although 92 percent of the total population is Muslim but the government has enacted one after one anti-Quran and Sunnah law and hurt against the religious sentiment of the people. Unplanned development policy has put the nation amid a severe financial crisis. To get rid of this situation, the leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami should remain alert and ready for the massive movement. We have to be engaged with social service irrespective of religious identity and political views.
Mobarak Hossain said Jamaat-e-Islami’s leaders and activists have to instill the complete spirit of Islam. They have to spread the sermons and message of Islam to all people for attaining Allah’s satisfaction by defying all fears and barriers.
Thousands of workers attended today’s conference which finally came to an end with the concluding remarks of the district Ameer.
