Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman joined a workers’ conference virtually on 21st October. Jessore East organizational district arranged the conference which was presided over by district Ameer Master Md. Nurunnabi and hosted by district secretary Principal Maulana Abu Jafor Siddique. District’s Assistant Secretary Abdul Maleq Khan presented Darsul Quran at this conference.
Jamaat Ameer said, we have to discharge our duties with a mindset of accountability. There is no alternative but securing qualification in performing duties. We have to study more. We have to make an in-depth relationship with Allah. We have to pass the night with voluntary prayers and continuous studies. We should intensify our preaching activities. We should attain the quality of leading people in all aspects. Jamaat leaders should play a pivotal role in establishing the rules of Almighty Allah.
The majority of the people are passing days in crisis. We have to serve them irrespective of their political identity and other differences. Jamaat Ameer urged party leaders and activists to take to the side of these least fortunate and underprivileged people. He further said the nation is crossing a critical juncture. The image of Bangladesh is being ruined due to corruption and irregularities of the incumbent government which came to the power through a farcical election.
Central executive committee member and Jessore-Kushtia region’s coordinator Mobarak Hossain addressed the conference as the special guest. He said Jamaat-e-Islami’s leaders, activists, and supporters are philanthropic, donors, and patriots. They always serve the people who are in crisis. Jamaat activists should act like a social workers.
Master Md. Nurunnabi said the ruler sections have been continuing their misdeeds desperately. These vested quarters have killed several patriots and the best son of the soil. Many people have become the victims of enforced disappearance. They killed the patriot sections and intellectuals as they declined to let the country to become a subservient state of the neighboring country.
The conference concluded with a prayer sessesion which offered doa seeking the betterment of the country. Among others, lecturer Monirul Islam, Maulana Abdus Samad, Maulana Nazir Hossain and Professor Moshiur Rahamn spoke on the occasion.
