Dhaka city south organized members’ conference on Friday

Allout movement should be launched against the incumbent fascist government, says Dr. Taher

Nayeb-e-Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former MP Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher said the incumbent fascist government is sitting upon the people like unbearable trouble. The best Jihad is to utter truth against a tyrant ruler. A massive and comprehensive movement should be launched comprising all parties including Jamaat-e-Islami, BNP, pro-democratic forces, leftists, and rightists. The government must be dethroned through such a movement and the nation has to take forward by holding a credible election under a neutral and non-party government. Jamaat members should come ahead to play a historical role in the upcoming days. No election should be allowed under the current regime.

Dr. Taher said this while addressing the members’ conference of Dhaka city south Jamaat-e-Islami as the chief guest today. Central executive committee member of Jamaat-e-Islami and Dhaka city south Jamaat Ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul presided over the conference. Jamaat’s Acting Secretary General Maulana ATM Masum, Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, and central executive committee member Advocate Matiur Rahman Akanda spoke on the occasion as the chief guest. The conference was hosted by Dhaka south city Secretary Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud. Among others, central working committee member and Dhaka city South Nayeb-e-Ameer Monjurul Islam Bhuiyan, central Majlish-e-Shura member and Dhaka city south Nayeb-e-Ameer Abdus Sabur Fakir addressed the program. City’s Assistant Secretary Dr. Advocate Helal Uddin and city’s working committee member Mokarram Hossain Khan were also present on the stage.

Dr. Taher further said, a severe struggle is going on to establish truth across the globe. To facilitate the movement, a group of dedicated, sincere people is required who have the mentality to sacrifice. The members of Jamaat-e-Islami is regularly setting such an example of sacrifices. Quoting the Quranic verse, he stated, on the day you became oathbound with Almighty Allah since then you have turned into a valiant fighter of truth. Your only target is to reach the destination by attaining the satisfaction of Allah.

He said, Islam is not a set of theories. It is a complete code of life. Jamaat member is the reflection of such code. So, we have to be aware to represent the true face of Islam. We have to engage ourselves for serving humanity.

Maulana ATM Masum said, taking baiyat means making an oath with Almighty Allah. We made a promise and commitment to Allah in Alame Aarwah and its practical reflection is the oath of membership. This is the oath of loyalty. The basic demand of this loyalty is to create a society, where no law will exist but the law of Allah and His Prophet (peace be upon Him). We want to turn this society into Allah-fearing society. We have to face barriers and obstructions. But ignoring those issues, we have to move forward.

Maulana Abdul Halim said, no person is inevitable for the Islamic movement. A person should get involved with this movement to attain salvation. As faithful servant, we have to struggle for the sake of Allah-guided path till our death. He urged the members to be prepared to play due roles to meet the requirements of the moment.

Advocate Matiur Rahman Akanda put emphasis on the oath and stated that we have to be alert to fulfill the rights of our oath. We should pass our moments amid repentance. Nobody can dismiss his/her oath. He called upon the members to play a sincere role in establishing Islam.

Nurul Islam Bulbul said, the government has pushed the country towards bankruptcy by unprecedented corruption, looting, mismanagement, and money embezzlement. All essential commodities are out of common’s reach. The government is staying in office by subduing people’s rights and disabling politics. In a bid to weaken the opposition forces, they have ruined the democratic structure. They are dreaming to remain in office forever by holding elections in 150 constituencies through EVM. The election commission is functioning as the subservient organ of the government. Such a situation can never be tolerated. Everybody should play a sensible role to bring back the decent trend of politics.
