Member’s conference of Comilla South organizational district held

We have to play a unified role to free the nation from the oppressors, says Jamaat Ameer

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said we all have to play a unified role to free the nation from the clutches of the oppressors. We have to be proactive in materializing the ideologies of the Prophet (peace be upon Him). If we can conduct the preaching activities and the task of Iqamat-e-Deen in an organized way, then we will be able to attain success both in this world and the hereafter. We have to act like a watchman in preserving and protecting the country’s independence and people’s rights.

He said this while virtually addressing the member’s conference of Comilla south organizational district recently. Comilla south district’s Acting Ameer Advocate Muhammad Shahjahan presided over the conference, hosted by district Secretary Dr. A K M Syed Sarwar Uddin Siddique. Among others, Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, Acting Secretary General Maulana ATM Masum, Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, and central executive committee member Abdur Rab addressed the program. The conference was also addressed by central working committee member and Comilla city Ameer Kazi Deen Mohammad, former district Ameer Abdus Sattar, district’s Assistant Secretary Dr. Abdul Mobin, and Mahfuzur Rahman.

Jamaat Ameer further said, our struggle will continue without making any compromise until Islam is established on this land. We have joined this movement to seek salvation and to free the people. We did not join here for worldly interest only. Comilla south district is fertile land for the Islamic movement. We have to convey the message and sermon of Islam to 2.7 million people of this area. We have to stand by the people in their crisis. Our only target is to attain the satisfaction of Almighty Allah. Jamaat-e-Islami has been working hard for the benefit of the people and to establish a Quranic society.

Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher said Bangladesh has turned into debris. People are living here without any rights. There are no democracy and electoral trends. So, you have to play a historic role to dethrone this inhuman and fascist government. We will not allow any election under the incumbent regime.

Maulana ATM Masum said Jamaat’s vision and aim are to remain firm on Islam, its beliefs, and faith. We have to overcome this path consciously. Mutual relationships should be bolstered and better performance should be ensured. The members, as the first-row manpower of the organization, should set the example of loyalty and discipline. We have to stay by the side of the people in seasons and out of seasons. We should give up the path of self-deception and have to own the path of honesty.
