The impact of massive price hikes of the essentials are affecting people. The people are highly disturbed due to severe power shortages. Amid such an unbearable price hike, the government is mulling to increase the gas price. The countrymen think, such an attempt is illogical and unjustified and it would be a disastrous blow against the people.
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim said this while addressing the half-yearly members’ conference of the Kurigram district Jamaat virtually.
Maulana Abdul Halim further said Jamaat activist means social activist. So, Jamaat activists should stand by the side of the helpless people with their capacity. Jamaat has always played a bold role against torture and repression. Jamaat can never be subdued through imprisonment, cases, tortures, and threats.
