Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman stated that, although different international and national human rights organizations have expressed concern about the absence of human rights, freedom of speech, and naked interference in the democratic rights, the government is paying no heed to such issues. Their fascist activities are increasing alarmingly. Overall, the government is pushing the nation toward a critical condition. We all have gathered in the Islamic movement with a dream of victory. Our ultimate destination is Jannah. On its way, sacrificing limbs, and organs are temporary barriers. We are keen to reach our target with all such barriers and obstacles. You have made this organization through your sacrifice and sincere efforts. A significant number of brothers in Khulna have sacrificed their lives. You are the direct witness of the Islamic movement. Proper evaluation and appreciation of such sacrifice are not possible in this worldly life. We believe your kind suggestions and advice will be available in the upcoming days to lead the organization ahead. The nation is crossing a crucial juncture now and the leaders have to play a proactive role ignoring the highest risks. We strongly believe that by the grace of Almighty Allah, Islam will be established in Bangladesh soon and people will get their rights back as well.
He said this while addressing a training session for Khulna district and city’s working committee members on last Thursday and Friday as the special guest. Central Majlish-e-Shura member and city Secretary Professor Mahfuzur Rahman hosted the program. Among others, Acting Secretary General Maulana ATM Masum, Assistant Secretary General and former MP AHM Hamidur Rahman Azad, Assistant Secretary Maulana Abdul Halim, central executive committee member and Dhaka city south Ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul and central organizing secretary and Khulna region’s coordinator Muhaddis Abdul Khaleque addressed the program.
Khulna region team member Principal Maulana Mashiur Rahman, Khulna North district Ameer Maulana Imran Hossain, Khulna south district Ameer Maulana Golam Sarwar, Bagerhat district’s Acting Ameer Advocate Sheikh Abdul Wadud, Satkhira district’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Vice_principal Shahidul Islam Mukul, Satkhira district Secretary Maulana Azizur Rahman, Khulna south district Secretary Advocate Mustafizur Rahman, Professor Mia Golam Kuddus, Avocate Shah Alam, Maulana Abubakar Siddiq and others also addressed the session.
Jamaat Ameer said it is the demand of the people to hold free, fair, and credible elections under a non-party government. We have to strengthen the ongoing movement to ensure the next election under such a government. The present election commission is subservient to the incumbent regime. The people believe that their role will be the same as the previous two commissions. If the nation cannot be freed from the clutches of the tyrannical Awami League government, then we have to face severe suffering. Whatever the government says, free, fair, and credible election is not possible under Awami League regime.
The people have been suffering immensely due to the price hike of essentials. But when the Jamaat activists have held processions protesting against such price hikes, police have arrested them. He further asserted that the people of this country will not tolerate any insult to the Prophet (pbuH) and the religious scholas. Jamaat Ameer said Jamaat leaders and activists should take a stand by the side of the people during a crisis. We have to work for the betterment and welfare of the people.
