Jamaat Ameer urges public representatives to act sincerely and ethically

A workshop was held on last 13th May with the newly elected Union Council chairman. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Rangpur-Dinajpur region has arranged this workshop. Jamaat-e-Islami’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim presided over the program while central working committee member and regional team member Professor Mahbubur Rahman Belal hosted the event. Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman addressed the program by using a virtual platform as the chief guest. Among others, Jamaat’s central executive committee member and central election committee secretary Principal Md. Ijjat Ullah, Chirir Bandar Upazila council’s former chairman and regional team member Maulana Abdul Khaleq, team member Advocate Abdul Baten, Rangpur district Ameer Professor Golam Rabbani, Gaibandha district Ameer Abdul Karim, Panchagarh district Ameer Iqbal Hossain and Lalmonirhat district Ameer Ataur Rahman attended the session.

Addressing the recently elected UP chairmen, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, you should remember the blessings of Almighty Allah repeatedly and express your gratitude. Your victories were never possible without His blessings. The tasks of the public representatives are very weightful, tough, and better. You should uphold the thought of responsibility and accountability like the way our second caliph Hazrat Umar (R).

Never get involved with unethical tasks. Be aware to check the embezzlement of public money or property. Be cautious not to get involved with dishonest activities and transactions. Rather try to fulfill the rights of orphans, widows and helpless people. Try to be reliable and accountable and you will get Allah’s blessing insha Allah.

Always consider yourself as a public servant. Serve the people irrespective of religion, colors, and race. Try to establish justice at all levels. Always try to do your work with consultations. Do not consider your members as your opponent. Engage yourself to serve the community by taking the help of MP, Upazila chairman and local administration.

Jamaat Ameer also urged the UP chairmen to protect and preserve the organizational image. You have to allocate time for serving people and simultaneously you should have enough time to build an ideal family. Try to have good relations with the organization. Seek the help of Almighty Allah in every aspect and try to maintain balance in your life.
