Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, the example before us is the life and work of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon Him). We must always follow the commandments of Allah and the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon Him). And finally, we must always seek help from Allah and fulfill our responsibilities with utmost sacrifice, faith and piety.
He said these things in the closing speech given at the two-day long district and city Ameer conference of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami held at Al-Falah Auditorium in Maghbazar on May 4th afternoon.
He thanked Allah Almighty and further said, despite hundreds of injustices, oppression and persecution, we have remained on the path of Allah and His Messenger due to Allah's mercy. We have not become impatient, despite false cases, we have never bowed down to any injustice. Although the Islamic education and training that we have received from the organization seems very difficult to practice at the moment, but if we distribute and carry out the responsibilities properly, Allah Almighty will make all our difficult tasks easy, Insha Allah.
He said, we are fulfilling our religious responsibilities despite various limitations. Our responsibility is to develop those who will lead the Islamic movement in the future to be more skilled and competent than us.
The Ameer-e-Jamaat also said, we express deep sorrow at the passing away of Allama Sultan Zowk Nadwi, the founding director of Darul Ma'rif Al-Islamia in Chittagong and one of the country's leading scholars. We pray that Allah Almighty illuminates his grave with the light of Paradise.
The Jamaat Ameer also expressed deep sorrow at the passing away of Barrister Abdur Razzaq, former Central Executive Council member of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, former Assistant Secretary General of the party and one of the leading lawyers of the Supreme Court, and prayed to Allah to grant him a high status in Paradise.
He further said that Barrister Abdur Razzaq handled the citizenship case of former Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Professor Ghulam Azam as an assistant to renowned lawyer Barrister A. R. Yusuf. He later on, handled the false cases filed against the leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami for so-called crimes against humanity with great competence. He has performed his duties with great patience ignoring the severe pressure from Awami fascism.
