Jamaat Ameer distributes tins among Sylhet flood victims

No one can stop Jamaat from doing humanitarian and welfare activities, says Dr. Shafiqur Rahman

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said the flood victims are our nearest people. Their sufferings know no bounds due to inadequate support from the government. Jamaat is working to facilitate the rehabilitation efforts of the flood victims. The solvent corners should come forward to make these efforts successful.

Jamaat Ameer said, since the beginning of this calamity, Jamaat had remained with the flood victims. Now the flood is over but Jamaat is still with these helpless people. The organization is working to ensure the rehabilitation of these flood victims. despite all tortures and repressions, Jamaat-e-Islami is working for the welfare of the community.

Jamaat has carried out its all-out efforts during the recent floods not only in Sylhet but also in other flood-affected districts. But the ruling party does not like our activities and as such they torturing us immensely in many ways. But no one can stop Jamaat-e-Islami as the leaders and activities of this organization as they have been doing this to attain the satisfaction of Almighty Allah.

Jamaat Ameer said this while distributing tins to repair houses among the flood victims in Shah Poran west thana under Sylhet city.

Sylhet city Nayeb-e-Ameer Maulana Sohel Ahmed presided over the program. Among others, labor leader Advocate Jamil Ahmed Raju, counselor Sohel Ahmed Ripon, Anwar Ali, Rafiqul Islam, Muhib Ali, and other local leaders were present on the occasion.
