Jamaat Ameer visits victim families of Netrokona Haor tragedy; extends sympathy and support

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has visited the mournful families who lost their near and dear ones in recent tragic naval mishap, that took place in the Netrokona district. Jamaat Ameer went to Mymensingh to express his sympathy and empathy to the victim families. He prayed to Allah to accept all the deceased as martyr. He also prayed to Allah seeking blessings so that they can hold patience. He stayed with the victim families for a while, talked to them and consoled them.

Jamaat Ameer recalled the deceased students and teachers who were involved with the Islamic education and the memorization of the Quran. May Allah save them on the day of resurrection.

Jamaat Ameer also helped these families with financial assistance. Mymensingh district Ameer Abdul Karim, Mymensingh municipality Ameer Kamrul Ahsan Imrul and others were present with the Ameer-e-Jamaat during the occasion. Jamaat Ameer also visited the graves of the deceased.

It should be mentioned that at least 17 teachers and students of Mymensingh city’s Chor Vobanipur village’s Maksuda Sunnah Hafizia Madrasa, drowned as a trawler capsized in a haor in Madan upazila of Netrakona on last 5 August.
