The book ‘Islami Netritter Shorup’ (Islamic Leadership's Characteristics) authored by former Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former Minister of Social Welfare, Shaheed Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid, was unveiled at a ceremony. The event took place on the morning of January 7 at Al Falah Auditorium in Dhaka’s Moghbazar area. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman attended the program as the chief guest.

In his speech, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, "Shaheed Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid was a trustworthy and competent leader. His father, Maulana Abdul Ali, once declared, 'I have dedicated this son for Islam.' Mujahid embodied his father’s vision, serving government ministries with honesty and skill. As a national leader and organizer of the Islamic movement, he left us with great contributions and valuable lessons. Even in prison, his heart remained with his beloved organization. He authored a book of profound guidance from behind the bars. We pray for his acceptance into Jannat al-Firdous and for his contributions and martyrdom to be accepted by Allah."

Special guests at the event included Assistant Secretary General of Jamaat Maulana Abdul Halim, Chairman of Weekly Sonar Bangla A.K.M. Rafiqunnabi, Dhaka South City Secretary Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud, Dhaka North city Jamaat’s Secretary Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim, and Narayanganj City Ameer Abdul Jabbar.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Shaheed Mujahid’s son, translator, and author Ali Ahmad Mabrur delivered remarks, with the presence of Mujahid’s wife, brothers, and other family members.

The speakers highlighted Mujahid's pivotal role in the Islamic movement and politics of Bangladesh. He led efforts to build an Islamic society from his student days until his martyrdom. Under his and his colleagues’ leadership, the foundation of Islamic politics and organization was firmly established in the country.

Mujahid’s unwavering stance against imperialist and anti-Islamic forces earned him severe persecution. Despite the unimaginable suffering and prolonged imprisonment, he never compromised his ideals and ultimately embraced martyrdom steadfastly.

The book ‘Islami Netritter Shorup’ (Islamic Leadership's Characteristics) written while he was in prison, reflects Shaheed Mujahid’s extensive experience in politics and organizational work. It briefly discusses the desirable qualities of Islamic leadership, making it a highly relevant and beneficial guide for leaders at all levels of the Islamic movement.

The event was chaired by Muhammad Rajiful Hasan Bappi, Chairman of Tafhim Publications, which published the book. Amjad Ilahi, head of Tafhim's sales department hosted the program, with a welcome address by Muhammad Abu Sufian, Editor of Tafhim Publications. Also present were Wahid Zaman, Director of the publication, CEO Shahmun Nakib Farabi, and shareholder Mamun Abdullah.
