On May 19 at 3 pm, a 9-member delegation led by Mrs. Nurunnisa Siddiqa, Secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Women's Division, paid a courtesy call on British High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Ms. Sarah Cook, at her residence and held a meeting.
The meeting, which was held in a very cordial atmosphere, resulted in fruitful discussions on the activities and community involvement of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Women's Division.
During the meeting, the British High Commissioner discussed women's empowerment and their social and political role. In the discussion, the leaders of Jamaat's Women's Division shared their thoughts and experiences.

Led by Jamaat-e-Islami Women's Division Secretary Nurunnisa Siddiqa, others present at the event were - Assistant Secretary Sayeda Rumman, Assistant Secretary Marzia Begum, Jamaat-e-Islami Women's Division Central Working Committee Member Khandaker Ayesha Khatun, Central Council Member Dr. Habiba Chowdhury Sweet, Central Working Committee Member Advocate Sabikunnahar Munni, Central Working Committee Member Professor Salma Sultana. Vice-Principal of Manarat International School & College Tahmina Yasmin, and Nishat Tasnim, a teacher at Islamic International School were also present on the occasion.
