Marking International Al Quds week, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has made the following call:
We are expressing our deepest gratitude to Almighty Allah, Who has set Al Aqsa Mosque as the first Qibla for the Muslims. We are praying Durud to honor our Prophet (peace be upon Him), who has ascended to heaven during the journey of Isra. In this journey, Buraq descended at Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa where the Prophet met a congregation of Prophets – all Prophets before his time: Adam, Nuh, Hud, Idris, Salih, Yousuf Shuayab, Zachariah, Yahya, and the other Prophets mentioned in the Quran (peace be upon them all) and led them in prayer in front of their Lord.
Baitul Maqdis or Al Aqsa Mosque has turned into a place of honor and respect for the Muslims worldwide. This place is enriched with memories of many prophets. For a long time, this sacred place was a place of revelation, center point of Islam and Islamic culture and preaching activities.
The imperialists and colonial forces are instigating the Zionist forces to snatch the rights of the Palestinians away. They are conducting unprecedented torture, repression and genocide against the Muslims communities in Palestinian towns and villages. Palestinians are being murdered, injured and displaced almost everyday by the Israeli occupation forces.
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami sincerely supports the Palestinians and their justified causes. We have taken to the street in support of their rights and the Israeli occupations. Jamaat-e-Islami always urged to stop massacre and crackdown against the Palestinian people.
We are pleased to know that the Ulama Association of Palestinian has decided to observe ‘International Al Quds week’ from 8th March to 14th March in order to secure the due rights of the Palestinians. We are cordially supporting this initiative and wishing its success. On behalf of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, I am urging all to make this ‘Al Quds International Week’ successful.
