Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Ghulam Parwar issued the following statement on 6 February, 2025 condemning and protesting against the announcement of occupation of Gaza by US President Donald Trump.

"I strongly condemn and protest against the announcement of taking over Gaza by US President Donald Trump. His aggressive attitude has been revealed through this statement. The imperialist mentality has been substantiated by this statement and it has created adverse reactions among Muslims throughout the Arab world. This statement violates international law. The entire peace loving world has rejected his statement. The establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state is the only solution to the current problem. The entire Muslim Ummah is shocked and outraged by the aggressive statement of the US President.

"I call upon the US President Donald Trump to immediately withdraw such aggressive statements and recognize an independent, sovereign Palestinian state."
