Jamaat-e-Islami activist and the president of Jessore's Gazi Bazar peace and order committee Aminul Islam Sajal was stabbed to death by the drug dealers and some other miscreants on the 4th of November evening. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar has issued the following statement on 5th November 2024 protesting and condemning this murder incident.

In the statement, he said, "I strongly condemn and protest the incident of killing of Aminul Islam Sajal, an activist of Jamaat-e-Islami and the president of Jessore's Gazi Bazar peace and order committee. We are deeply shocked and saddened by this murder incident.

I urge the concerned authorities to immediately conduct a fair and impartial investigation into the incident and ensure exemplary punishment of the offenders. At the same time, I pray to Allah to accept the deceased Aminul Islam Sajal as a martyr. I also extend my deepest condolences to his bereaved family and friends. May Allah grant them the patience and strength to bear this grief. Ameen.
