Jamaat condoles death of popular writer Humayun Ahmed

Jamaat-e-Islami Acting Ameer Makbul Ahmad has expressed deep shock at the death of popular fiction writer Humayun Ahmed. He died of cancer on Thursday night while he was undergoing treatment in a USA hospital.
In a statement on Friday, the Jamaat Ameer said that the whole nation is deeply mourned with the death of prominent writer.
With his death, a bright star of Bangla literature fell down; Humayun Ahmed will remain at the people’s hearts for his contribution to Bangla literature, he said.
The Jamaat leader said that the prominent writer has contributed largely to the nation by his strong writings.
He prayed for the salvation of his departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to his bereave family member and well wishers.
He also prayed to give them strength and courage so that they can bear the deep shock.
