Monday, 11 February 2013
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami urged all concerned to held worldwide
protest programme on Monday against the conspiracy of giving commanded
verdict against Maulana Delwar Hossain Sayedee and demanding
withdrawal of Abdul Quader Molla’s verdict and dissolution of the
controversial tribunal.

In a statement on Sunday, Jamaat Acting Secretary General Maulana
Rafiqul Islam Khan has said the government in a planned created mayhem
and anarchy across the country in an ill-motive to influence the
tribunal’s verdict and thus fulfill political revenge.

The ministers, MPs and ruling party Awami League’s central leaders
have been making politically motivated and provocative statements in
order to create pressure and force the tribunal to work as per their
own plan, he said.

Already, an unjust verdict was delivered against Abdul Quader Molla.
Now, a conspiracy is going on to give a commanded or directed verdict
against Maulana Delwar Hossain Sayedee.

Country’s leading legal experts have already demanded formation of the
tribunal under supervision of the United Nations (UN) after
dissolution of the controversial and questioned tribunal. Some legal
experts and human rights bodies have expressed deep concern at the
current situation of the country.

Khan called upon all the expatriates to immediately raise their united
voice across the world in this regard.
