Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maqbul Ahmed has issued the following statement on 16th August, 2014 appreciating and felicitating the countrymen and the leaders and activists of 20 party alliances across the country for observing the pre-declared nationwide black flag hoisting demonstration program against the brutal Israeli attack in Palestinian Gaza strip.

“I am appreciating and felicitating the countrymen and the leaders and activists of 20 party alliances across the country for observing the pre-declared nationwide black flag hoisting program against the brutal Israeli attack in Palestinian Gaza strip. By making the program successful, the people of this country have protested against the Israeli atrocities. The countrymen also expressed their solidarity with the ongoing struggle of the Palestinian people to establish a free and independent Palestine.

I am urging United Nations and all the international forum and organizations to undertake effective measures to stop the Israeli massacre and genocide in Gaza and to ensure the emergence of Palestine as an independent and sovereign nation.”
